Hair Care Tip #2

17 May

After you finish showering, which includes shampooing and/or conditioning, rinse your hair with COLD water for around 3-5 minutes, or as long as you possibly can.

This seals the cuticles of your hair and makes it more shiny.

Hair Care Tip #1

Avoid shampoos that contain sodium laurel sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate. These chemicals are synthetic detergents that are used in dishwashing liquid and other cleansers. They are used since they lather well, but they are very harsh, and can dry out your hair.

Of course, most drug store brands include these chemicals in their ingredients, so if you are using them now and they are working fine for you, then do continue. However, if you are facing problems with your hair that are the same as some of the symptoms of drugstore shampoos , then consider saving up some money to buy those pricier shampoos that don’t contain these ingredients.

Be cautious though, and check the back of the bottle because even some expensive shampoos might contain those ingredients.
