A Great And Terrible Beauty Trilogy Review

 

This is the cover for the first book. There are 3 in all, hence trilogy.

 

This series in one out of 5 favorites; The Clique, Artemis Fowl, Twilight, and of course, Harry Potter.

Brief Overview: It talks about a girl named Gemma Doyle with a one of a kind power that can lead her to another world filled with beauty and wonder. However, the creatures of that world want her power, and there are 2 enemy groups that are trying to lure her into giving it to them. Furthermore, there is a terrible witch who has been hunting her down for years to obtain her power. Through her journey of discovery, she neets a boy who she falls secretly in love with. However, he is in the enemy group. she also makes 3 friends, who are both good and evil in their own ways, and want to achieve their life’s dreams with her magic.

rating: 4.5/5

I didn’t give it a full5 because i expected more romance, but what I got were a few measely scenes. Although they don’t have that many romantic scenes,are pretty explicit when they do.

I’m highly recommend it. I cried at the end. Such a Romeo&Juliet ending.  :’)

Avocado-Honey Hair Mask

• 1/2 cup Honey
• 1 Avocado

Cut the avocado in half. Throw away the pit. Mash up the avocado. Put it into a bowl. Add the 1/2 cup of Honey. Mix!

Apply to dry hair. Wrap a hot towel around your hair. Leave it on for around 15 minutes. Wash it off afterwards, then shampoo and condition as usual. Enjoy!

Since I couldn’t get a really good look at his hair since he was dancing so much, so I googled it.

TUTORIAL TIME!~

Items needed:

hair wax/clay. Ex: Garnier Frutis, Sebastian Crude Clay.

Straightener.

Blowdryer.

Hairspray.

Volumizing spray/mousse. (OPTIONAL.)

Short hair. Layered hair that goes to about your neck.

Steps:

1.) Shower. Then towel dry your hair.

EXTRA STEP! OPTIONAL FOR IF YOU DON’T HAVE “VOLUMOUS HAIR:

**Apply some volumizing spray/mousse to your roots. Read the back of the bottle to see if you apply it with damp or dry hair. 

2.When it’s halfway dry, blowdry your hair with your head facing your knees( bending over), and make the blowdryer face down and towards your  face.

3.) next, flat iron your hair, but only from the second half of your hair. Don’t Straighten your roots.)

4.) After that, use the wax/clay and apply to back of head, giving it a toussled apperance.

5.) Apply some on your bangs and the hair framing your face, making then go forward and make them “defined”…spikes. (refer back to picture.)

AND that’s basically it.
